The 47 Yōkai Warriors (妖怪四十七士, Yōkai Shijūshichi-Shi) are a group of Japanese Yōkai with the abilitly to draw spirit energy from Jigoku, one from each of the 47 prefectures in Japan. Enma-Daiō charged Nezumi-Otoko and Neko-Musume with finding them to assist Kitarō in battle. When one of the 47 uses their powers, a special 47 (四七) mark will appear somewhere on their body.
History[]
2007 Anime[]
The concept of the 47 Yōkai Warriors is only introduced in the fifth anime. The arc begins at episode #73, Mystery of the Forty Seven Yōkai Warriors, and was left unfinished.
Members[]
Kawauso[]
Kawauso is the first to be shown as one of the chosen 47 Yōkai Warriors.
- Awakening: He is revealed to be a member in episode #73, Mystery of the Forty Seven Yōkai Warriors.
- Mark Location: His mark is located his right arm.
- Representation: He is the representative of Ishikawa.
Sunakake-Babaa[]
Sunakake-Babaa was the second to be shown as one of the 47 Yōkai Warriors.
- Awakening: She is revealed to be a member in episode #73, Mystery of the Forty Seven Yōkai Warriors.
- Mark Location: Her mark is located on her left hand.
- Representation: She's the representative of the Nara Prefecture.
Konaki-Jijii[]
Konaki-Jijii was the third to be shown as one of the 47 Yōkai Warriors.
- Awakening: He is revealed to be a member in episode #73, Mystery of the Forty Seven Yōkai Warriors.
- Mark Location: His mark is on the back of his head.
- Representation: He's the representative of Tokushima.
Nurikabe[]
Nurikabe is the fourth to be shown as one of the 47 Yōkai Warriors.

- Representation: He's the representative of Fukuoka.

Ittan-Momen is the fifth to be shown as one of the 47 Yōkai Warriors.

Aoi[]
Aoi is the sixth of the chosen 47 Yōkai Warriors.

- Mark Location: Her mark is located on her left breast.
- Representation: She's the representative of Yamagata.
Yobuko[]
Yobuko is the seventh of the chosen 47 Yōkai Warriors.

- Representation: He's the representative of the Tottori Prefecture.

Yadōkai is the eighth of the chosen 47 Yōkai Warriors.

Akashita is the tenth of the chosen 47 Yōkai Warriors.

Azuki-Arai[]
Azuki-Arai is the 11th of the chosen 47 Yōkai Warriors.

Zashiki-Warashi[]
Two Zashiki-Warashi are the 12th of the chosen 47 Yōkai Warriors.

Kuro-Karasu[]
Kuro-Karasu is the 24th of the chosen 47 Yōkai Warriors.
- Awakening: He is revealed to be a member in the 100th and final episode of the adaptation, Farewell, Father! The Threat of the Tengu King!!.
- Mark Location: His mark is also his birthmark and is located on his upper right arm.
- Representation: He is the representative of Gunma Prefecture.
The Remaining 23[]
Because the 2007 anime was suddenly canceled at Ep. 100, only 24 of the 47 Yōkai Warriors. were revealed, with the remaining 23 listed abruptly at the end of the episode. They were later shown in action in the movie GeGeGe no Kitarō: Nippon Bakuretsu!!.
