Amikiri (網切り, net cutter) is a crustacean-like yōkai who lives in the Yōkai Apartments.

Amikiri is among the many yōkai inhabitants of GeGeGe Forest to help Kitarō fight off the Western Yōkai. He is among those to witness the fire breaking out around the forest and later caught in an explosion.[1]
Powers and Abilities[]
Levitation: Amikiri is shown to possess the ability to float a few feet above the ground. He is also able to carry a person on their back while flying high from the ground.[1]
Claws: Amikiri's claws are sharp, being able to cut iron.
Legend[]
Amikiri is a crustacean-like yōkai depicted in Toriyama Sekien's Gazu Hyakki Yagyo. It has an enlarged shrimp-like body, a bird's beak, and crab claws, which it uses to cut mosquito nets, fishing nets, and laundry.
Because of their similarities, it is theorized that Amikiri was designed based on Kamikiri.
