The Beatnik is a man from the Beat Generation who appears prominently in the Hakaba Kitarō story A Walk to Hell. He was not included in the anime version but does appear in the opening.
In the Garo version, he is instead from the Nandaka Generation (ナンダカ族, Nandaka-zoku).
