Black Angel (ブラックエンゼル Burakku Enzeru) is an akuma and one of Satan's Eight Shinigami.

Appearance

Black Angel appears as a young woman with long, light straight hair that reaches behind her back. Her most notable feature is the pair of light-colored angel wings. She wears a dark strapless dress and a pair of short, light-colored gloves.

History

Shinigami Tai-Senki

She invaded and took over Tōkatsu Jigoku by defeating its former ruler the giant Bake-Garasu and various onis were under her. These onis set a trap of a transparent to capture the Gokurakuchō and worked as guardsmen of a prison fort in which Bake-Garasu was imprisoned. However, Shigeru Mizuki put the onis to sleep with a drug and freed the two spiritual birds.

Bake-Garasu battled against Black Angel and the fallen angel was ripped apart when she coiled around the bird with her neck.

Angels are divine celestial beings who faithfully serve God, mainly Abrahamic, but have also been recorded in various other religious lore. Black Angel may likely be based on Fallen Angels, although the term does not appear in the Bible nor other Abrahamic scriptures, it has been used to describe angels who were cast out of heaven or angels who have sinned.
