Plot[]
Deep in the jungles of the Ogasawara Islands, blooms a thousand-year-old Kyūketsuju. She isn't in good health, so Professor Dracula visits her, and says she doesn't have enough yōkai blood, which is in abundance in a blood bank at Mt. Osore. Since the Kyūketsuju is incapable of moving, she decides to control other, foreign vampires to collect it. Prof. Dracula asks the local children of Chichijima to send a letter to the Yōkai Post.
Meanwhile, Kitarō sleeps on a hand-shaped tree, but is woken up by Nezumi-Otoko saying that there are multiple letters in the Yōkai Post. Kitarō decides to go in alone for one addressed to Ogasawara, meanwhile Nezumi accidentally pees on Medama-Oyaji. When he makes his way on the island, Kitarō is lured in by the two children Prof. Dracula met, Satoko and Osamu, and is baited to drink juice from a poisonous Vampire Cactus. As he loses consciousness, Prof. Dracula tells Kitarō southern vampires are heading to the Yōkai Blood Bank at Mt. Osore. When Kitarō wakes up again, he is surrounded with multiple Vampire Cacti, and gets hit by their needles as he hits them with his own. He's knocked unconscious again, this time rescued by Satoko and Osamu. They tell Kitarō they were coerced by Prof. Dracula, and recap what his plans are before washing the cacti's poison with seawater. Just then, a large Yōkai-Men sponge appears alongside Bats, and suck Kitarō's blood. Nezumi-Otoko finds Kitarō's body in the on the shore while on a boat to Ogasawara, and his chanchanko later sends an S.O.S message to his friends back at the GeGeGe Forest, and they too begin their trip to Mt. Osore.
While in the mountain, they get ambushed by Shina-Yasha popping out of the ground, but they're driven off by Sunakake-Babaa's sand. Later, Langsuyar does the same, and gets baited by Konaki-Jijii to bite his rocky head, causing him to break his teeth. When defeated, Langsuyar reveals they came to collect blood from the Yōkai Blood bank after Medama-Oyaji hops into his mouth and threatens him. Penanggalan appears, but is also quickly dealt with by Konaki and Sunakake. However, the Japanese yōkai are them ambushed by Asanbosam, who spits sap at them. Nezumi-Otoko appears and tells them to wash it off at Ryūjin Falls, and after they do, set their sites on reviving Kitarō. Langsuyar tells them the blood from the blood bank has already been taken, so Kitarō is revived after extracting blood from Penanggalan's body. Langsuyar tells the now revived Kitarō that Prof. Dracula is working for the Kyūketsuju, before spitting out Medama-Oyaji. As a result, Kitarō and the others set sail to the Ogasawara Islands!
Once they arrive, they're attacked by the Yōkai-Men and bats. Meanwhile, Prof. Dracula pours the blood from Mt. Osore on Kyūketsuju, causing her to regain her youth after 3,000 years and bloom flowers. Kitarō, now free from the Vampire Cactus poisoning, sucks bad his blood from the Yōkai-Men as well as its own, and becomes very fat. His blood is then sucked by Shina-Yasha, however it inflates them too, causing them to stop moving, and Kitarō places a boulder on their belly to immobilize them further. Kitarō is then ambushed by Asanbosam and a vampire bat, but later throws the vampire's sap at the bat, and afterwards he gets absorbed by Nurikabe, defeating both of them. Meanwhile, Kyūketsuju still blooms, so Ittan-Momen is ordered by Kitarō to light a match to burn her, and as she does, everyone else cheers. As they order Prof. Dracula to serve them drinks as they hold a party bragging about the strength of the Japanese Yōkai, the vampire's remaining bats drop Kyūketsuju's seeds, as they emerge as poisonous tree yōkai. Even though Konaki-Jijii decapitates some with a knife, the yōkai still manage to surround everyone. However, they all die as yōkai insects called Nekiri-Mushi pop out from the ground. Apparently, Medama-Oyaji dug underground as everyone else was partying, and befriended the insects, ordering to cut Kyūketsuju's roots, causing her "children" to die with her. Everyone celebrates and leaves as the GeGeGe song plays around Ogasawara.
