Daimanagu (大まなぐ Daimanagu, lit. Great Eyeball) is a yōkai that briefly appeared in The Great Yōkai War.
Appearance[]
Daimanagu has an eyeless, black, skull-like face and only one leg. He wears the top half of an old paper umbrella, with a single eye with a red pupil in the center resembling Kasa-Bake, a bright red scarf around his neck, a brown with black stripes haori over a black kimono tied with a bluish-green cloth.
Personality[]
Daimanagu is a big partygoer, and doesn't realize his actions hurt others. While this can be seen as a negative, it does play a role in defeating Yasunori Katō. He is first seen to the right of Koma-Ō and behind Jūnibō.
History[]
The Great Yōkai War[]
Daimanagu, alongside thousands of other yōkai, appear in the Festival of Darkness near Yasunori Katō's base in Tokyo, which ends up inadvertently trashing some of his Kikai.
Legend[]
Daimanagu is a yōkai that appears in the Tochigi and Niigata Prefectures. Similar the the Mikari-Baba & the Hitotsume-Kozō, on the evenings of February 8 and December 8, the Daimanagu peeks into houses with its one large eye.
