Giant Bat (巨大コウモリ Kyodaikōmori) or Large Bat (大コウモリ Ōkōmori) is a giant Vampire Bat that serves vampires. They are also called Giant Vampire Bat (巨大吸血コウモリ Kyodai-Kyūketsu-Kōmori, lit. giant blood-sucking bat). Their smaller but human-sized kin is called Ko-Komori (小コウモリ, lit. small bat).

Appearance

In the manga, he was depicted a gigantic bat.

In the anime, it has grown to immense size with carnivore-like legs, elongated fangs, neck, and ears. In general, it somewhat resembles a dragon than a normal bat.

Personality

In the manga, when his master La Seine was defeated and the bat had to return Kitarō's blood, he was disappointed and abandoned the vampire.

2007 Anime

He appeared in episode #68 of the fifth anime adaptation, Huge Battle of Hell! All of the Western Yōkai Appear. Decades ago, his master's close friend Backbeard asked Count Dracula to sneak into Jigoku in the guise of Sō-Daiō to absorb the power from the underworld's Pool of Blood. One of the vampire bats followed his master and became an extremely powerful, gigantic individual. Although it largely exhausted the 10 kings' barrier with its beam blast, it was instantly incinerated along with the entire legion of the Western Yōkai by Enma-Daiō's Gokuen-Ranbu technique.

Powers and Abilities

Eye beams

Eye Beams: It can emit a powerful beam from its eyes which largely exhausts a barrier created by 10 members of 13 Kings of the Underworld.

Bloodsucking:

Stunning: In the Jigoku Arc, they can also stun the targets including Nurikabe with their poison when they suck targets' blood.

Enhanced Power and Strength: In the Jigoku Arc, they were strong enough to carry Nurikabe and Gyūki. In the 2007 anime adaptation, the bat gained enhanced prowess by absorbing the power from the Pool of Blood for many years.
