Gotaimen (五体面 Gotaimen, lit. Five Body Face or Head and Limbs Face) is a Yōkai who appears in the 1985 anime.

Appearance

In the 1985 anime, Gotaimen resembles the round head of a bald man with a moustache, but with green skin, orange chin and forehead, blind sideburns, and stubby hands and muscular feet.

Gotaimen is a yōkai from the Hyakki Yagyō Emaki resembling a giant human head with arms and legs poking out of it.

Gotaimen appeared in the mansions of the high elites of Japanese society, including feudal lords and aristocrats, usually whenever they had visitors. The Gotaimen would try to make the guests laugh by showing off their unusual appearance while also performing tricks, but by being in the proximity of such high-esteem individuals, the visitors wouldn't dare to laugh. Enraged, the Gotaimen would go on a rampage throughout the house, sometimes even shedding tears of anger due to its comedic skills not being appreciated, before tiring itself out and going to sleep.
