Hell Fire (地獄の炎 Jigoku-no-Honō) is the magical flames from Jigoku.

Coming from Jigoku, specifically from Shōnetsu Jigoku, this fire is particularly powerful where the flames are hot enough to melt and counter ice and cold winds from powerful snow Yōkai, such as those of Mashiro and Yuki-Nyūdo. The user of these flames is capable of manipulating it at will, enabling them to perform various techniques, such as fire breath, blasts, using it to shield themselves, or to engulf themselves and charge at their target. If the user pours the power of their soul, the firepower will increase.

However, it is not easy to obtain this flame, as to borrow this from Enma-Daiō comes with the special condition; that if whoever it is bestowed upon uses it all and fails to return it, the requestor will be punished eternally in Shōnetsu Jigoku. When it is bestowed, its usage is temporary and limited.

Trivia

• Hell Fire was initially seen in GeGeGe no Kitarō 2: Yōkai Gundan no Chōsen as the Ōgi: Jigoku-no-Honō (奥義・地獄の炎, lit. Ultimate Secret Art: Hell Flame) which is the most powerful technique available in the videogame, and uses the flame of Jigoku to destroy opponents.
  • Jigoku-no-Honō is also the name of pre-evolution of GeGeGe no Kitarō: Gokuen Ranbu in Yuru-i GeGeGe no Kitarō: Yōkai Dotabata Daisensō.
