In the Face of the Enemy (顔の中の敵 Kao no Naka no Teki) is a GeGeGe no Kitarō story first published in 1961 as a chapter of the second rental manga, Kitarō's Night Tales. It was the last rental manga Shigeru Mizuki wrote for Sanyō before going back to Togetsu-Shobō. The Shonen Magazine story Ghost Train is a rewrite of the 2nd half of this story. In the Face of the Enemy was later adapted for the Hakaba Kitarō anime.
