Jigoku Key (地獄の鍵 Jigoku no Kagi) is a key that unlocks the powers from the Eight Great Jigoku from Jigoku.[1]
Description
Miu reviving Kitarō with the key
The key allows the user to perform the Jigoku Kyūkyoku Ōgi, after they gain permission from Jigoku. Where the user must pull the circle within the key and slide it into the top part of it.
The key itself contains a powerful life force, and Miu was able to revive dying Kitarō by transferring the key.[1]
History
At some point in the past, Enma-Daiō entrusted the key to the Amami Tribe, who protected the key in secrecy. on Kikaiga Island and held by the tribe's chief. After the island was attacked Western Yōkai, the chief passed on the key to her daughter Miu. She passes the key on to Kitarō in order to revive the Yōkai boy.[1]
