Katsura-Otoko (桂男 Katsuraotoko) is a giant yokai of the moon. In Akuma-kun: The Great Prophet Nostradamus, he was one of the Twelve Apostles of Shingo Yamada.
Appearance[]
In manga, he is a cloud-like being consist of moisture thus he is weak against powerful heatwave such as from Hiderigami, and he will shrink in size and power.
In anime, he has more solid and humanoid appearance in general to have legs, somewhat resembling Daidarabotchi from the second anime adaptation.
Personality[]
In the fourth anime, he is extremely royal to Tsukime and willingly sacrifice his life for her safety.

The dark spots on the moon are actually a yōkai known as Katsura-Otoko. If you stare at the moon for a long time when it's not full, Katsura-Otoko begins to move and beckons to those who look at it, but by doing this, your life is shortened.
