Kiba-Gurui (牙ぐるい Kiba-Gurui, lit. Fanged Madman) is a yōkai and a friend of Kitarō's. He is the owner of the Yōkai Bat. He was given the name in the 1968 anime.
Appearance[]
Kiba-Gurui is a yōkai with short dark hair, a small nose, and a wide mouth with small sharp teeth that are spaced apart. His eyes have sharp edges and two thin lines for pupils. He wears a light-colored robe that reaches his knees and has long sleeves that reaches his wrists.[1]

Powers and Abilities[]
Mouth Transformation: Kiba-Gurui is capable of transforming his body into a large maw filled with sharp teeth and can return to normal afterward.[1]
Equipment[]
Yōkai Bat (妖怪バット Yōkai Batto): He owns the baseball bat that is guaranteed to hit baseballs, making home run pitches everytime. He lent it to Hyakume Boy, who lost it in a graveyard where it was found by Donpei. Kitarō managed to retrieve the bat back and supposedly returned it to him.[1]
