Appearance[]
In the manga, Kimono Tanuki is a large, bipedal tanuki with round, angry eyes, sharp teeth, thin whiskers, and long toes. She has a tied head of hair like a human lady, and wears a kimono with circular patterns and a dark collar. In colored artwork of this appearance, her kimono is a light red while her patterns are yellow.

- His design resembles Tanuki Girl (たぬき娘 Tanuki-Musume) who was briefly featured in Yōkai Art Book.
- The design of Oroku from Studio Ghibli's Pom Poko may be based on either Kimono Tanuki or Tanuki Girl as Mizuki cooperated the film production and offered designs of some Yōkai.
