Legend[]
The Korpokkur are yōkai originating from Ainu folklore. The Ainu believed that the Korpokkur lived in the Ainu's land long before the Ainu themselves arrived. They're said to be small, but agile & skilled at fishing. They lived in pits with roofs made of Fuki leaves. Long ago, the Koropokkur and the Ainu were on good terms with each other, with the Koropokkur sending them deer, fish, and other game for exchange goods with the Ainu. But since the Korpokkur hated to be seen, the exchanges would happen at night.
