Kumo-Sennin (クモ仙人 Kumo-Sennin, lit. Spider Immortal) is an elderly immortal Akuma which appeared in Akuma-kun.
Appearance[]
In the anime, Kumo-Sennin is depicted to be more slender and taller than in the manga, and has pupils in his eyes.
Personality[]
Even though he became a powerful immortal, Kumo-Sennin grew arrogant and committed crimes. As punishment, Bodhisattva (a God in the anime) turned him into a giant spider. However, the evil immortal still harmed people and was sealed into an underground rock which was at several hundred meters beneath the surface. However, he still did not show any signs of repentance, and took several thousand years to dig and reach the surface. After this, he started cursing the descendants of the Bodhisattva and turned them into spiders as a means of revenge.

Manga[]
After knowing Solomon's Flute has the power to turn him back to his previous form, Kumo-Sennin turned Shingo Yamada into a spider and made him bring the flute. When Kumo-Sennin regained his original form, he overwhelmed Mephisto who tracked the spider-turned Shingo. It was then when a witch who is a relative to Mephisto came to aid them and fought the immortal. Kumo-Sennin tried to persuade her to become his ally, but the witch became enraged and bound him to a broomstick and launched it up to the sky. Kumo-Sennin was optimistic that once he breaks the bind, he would be freed. However, he failed to do so as the witch's magic was poured into each of the threads of the broom, and eventually Kumo-Sennin disappeared into the high sky. The witch then took Hyakume Child home with Mephisto, making him her foster-son.
Anime[]
Kumo-Sennin was freed from his seal by Lucifer. He then turned Mephisto II into a spider. Due to the immortal's strength to repel any attacks and defeat all of the Twelve Apostles at once, Mephisto could not defeat him, and was only able to exile him to outer space with his magic.
Powers and Abilities[]
Kumo-Sennin is a very formidable foe and is one of the few adversaries of Akuma-kun and his Twelve Apostoles who achieved their initial goals.
Spider Communication: Kumo-Sennin is able to communicate with spiders.
Sage Arts: His level of sage arts is formidable, that he once defeated Mephisto in a fight 5,000 years ago, even before he started his training.
Physical Invincibility: Kumo-Sennin acquired this through communicating with spiders. He doesn't die by any magical or physical attacks.
Immortality: Kumo-Sennin started his sage training 5,000 years ago in the mountain full of spiders.
Spider Transmutation: Kumo-Sennin is able to transform other people into spiders.
Web Generation: In the anime, Kumo-Sennin trapped and bound all members of the Twelve Apostles instantly, and this sealing is very powerful that even the Solomon's Flute couldn't dissolve the seal.
