Miu's Mother was the previous chief of the Amami Tribe. She is the mother of Miu and Kai.
Appearance[]
As a member of the Amami Tribe, she possesses gills on her neck, blue but more deeply colored hairs than her children, and a pair of tentacle.[1]
Personality[]
She deeply cared for her children, but at the same time, she had a great responsibility over the Jigoku Key and tasked it to her daughter at the moment of her passing away.[2]
History[]
The previous chief with her daughter and newborn son during the previous assault by Western Yōkai on Kikaiga Island.
2007 Anime[]
She was in charge of the Jigoku Key, and she passed it on to Miu at her death. Miu inherited and became the next chief after her mother.[2]
