Neko-Shō (
Appearance[]
Within the 2007 anime, Neko-Shō is a cat with short purple fur, four pairs of whiskers on the side of his mouth, and eyes with green sclerae and narrow pupils. He has a light red scar over his left eye and his ears have light purple skin within them. His most notable feature are his three tails, and his only article of clothing is the dull brown cloth that he uses as a robe. After being defeated, he becomes a normal cat again, having gray fur.[1]
Personality[]
In The Great Yōkai War, Neko-Shō is a big partygoer, and doesn't realize their actions hurt others. While this can be seen as a negative, it does play a role in defeating Yasunori Katō.

1996 Anime[]
Neko-Shō appears in episode #108 of the fourth anime adaptation, Immortality! Neko-Shō.[2]
2007 Anime[]
He appears in episode #97 of the fifth anime adaptation, Shock!! Kitarō Becomes a Cat!.
Years before the event of this episode, he and Nora were stray kittens who were abandoned by an unknown owner, later in a flashback he was ran over by a truck which he became a yokai[1]
The Great Yōkai War[]
Neko-Shō, alongside thousands of other yōkai, attend the Festival of Darkness near Yasunori Katō's base in Tokyo, which ends up inadvertently trashing some of his Kikai.

Hair Rope: In Shinpen GeGeGe no Kitarō, Neko-Shō is capable of using his hairs to restrain targets.
Head Size Shifting: In Shinpen GeGeGe no Kitarō, Neko-Shō magically enlarged his head to swallow Kitarō.
Neko-Maneki-no-Jutsu (猫招きの術)
Durability: In the The Great Yōkai War, Neko-Shō survives a large explosion caused by Yasunori Katō's defeat.
