Oiwa (お岩 Oiwa) is a ghost and is a distant relative to Iwako hence is a maternal relative to Kitarō's biological family. Chōchin-Oiwa (提灯お岩 Chōchin-Oiwa) is a form of Oiwa's spirit that possess chōchin lights.
