Pumpkin (パンプキン Panpukin) are pumpkin Yōkai that serve as minions of Zambia and work for the Western Yōkai. They are also called Pumpin Soldiers (パンプキン兵 Panpukin-hei).[1]

Levitation: The Pumpkins are able to float in the air with ease.

Scythes: Several Pumpkins wield scythe consisting of a large blade, a block around the tang, and a long thin staff.

The Pumpkin may likely be based on Jack-o'-lanterns, carved pumpkin lanterns associated with Halloween, though there are also turnip, or other root vegetable lantern. The phenomenon of a strange light flickering over peat bogs, called will-o'-the-wisp or jack-o'-lantern, is where the name comes from. Its name is also tied to the Irish legend of Stingy Jack, a drunkard who bargained with Satan and was doomed to roam the Earth with only a hollowed turnip to light his way.
