Legend[]

Saci de monteiro lobato

Saci-Pererê is a figure of the Brazilian folklore originated from the guarani mythology that later was appropriated by the African slaves who portrayed him like a black boy with a single leg, a pipe and a red bonnet that gives him powers, like to create a swirl around himself.

He spends most of his time playing tricks on people, but he can easily be captured by throwing a sieve or a bottle in his whirlpool or tearing off the bonnet from his head. In doing so, Saci will become submissive to the person who captured him.
