Sakabashira (逆柱, upside down pillar) is a plant yōkai and an adversary of Kitarō. He first appeared in the Shonen Magazine story Geta Battle.

He appears in episode #52 of the third anime adaptation, Burning Nezumi-Otoko Geta Battle.[2]

- Ability Mimicking: Even without the original target within its body, Sakabashira's copy can perform copied abilities such as Internal Electricity.
Legend[]
Sakabashira is a yōkai that is basically a haunted wooden pillar that is installed upside down as the result of a carpenter's mistake. Usually the pillar would be installed deliberately as a curse. It haunts the family living in the house by giving them nightmare and making creaking noises.
