Sedna is a goddess of sea and marine creatures, and is the queen of the Underworld. She is also worshiped as an ancestral being by Inuits.

Sedna typically has two different versions of origin before becoming a deity; either a giant or a human while she is also a daughter of the creator-god Anguta. Sedna as a goddess doesn't have fingers as they were severed by her parents when she was still a giant and devoured limbs of her sleeping parents, and her fingers turned into oceanic animals most notably whales and pinnipeds and fish.[1][2][3][4]
