New Year's Cannibal Mystery Kasha is the 38th episode of the 2018 GeGeGe no Kitarō anime. The episode has also been titled New Year's Man-Eating Fable Kasha. It is the first episode of the Nanashi's Final Battle Arc.

Synopsis[]
On the way home from her Hatsumōde visit, Mana witnesses a yōkai dragging a human corpse. According to Medama-Oyaji, that was the yōkai called Kasha. Kasha is a yōkai that loves to eat corpses. In the past, he used to steal corpses from funerals and crematories, causing havoc. However, the one Mana saw was weak and immediately dropped the corpse, fleeing upon being noticed. Perhaps he has gotten old... Nezumi-Otoko was eavesdropping, and comes up with yet another nasty plan.
