The Spirit Paper (霊紙 Rei-Shi) and Spirit Brush (霊筆 Rei-Hitsu) are magical items used to cast the Soul Sleep Paralysis Technique (魂金縛りの術 Tamashī-Kanashibari-no-Jutsu) to seal the Yōkai Onmoraki.[1]
Description[]
In the 2018 anime, the Spirit Paper appears as a piece of regular white paper, with the edges being a bit worn and torn. It is tied with an orange cord, The Spirit Brush is a a piece of wood carved to have one end pointed. The two items are stored within a black box with red padding.[2]
Features[]
Specialized Sealing: They are used to seal Onmoraki, by asking the host body questions, where the brush paints a dot on the paper for each answered. Once all the dots are connected to resemble the Onmoraki, the Yōkai will then be pulled into the drawing and sealed within the paper.[1]
