The Strangest Showdown (怪奇一番勝負, Kaiki Ichiban Shōbu) is a GeGeGe no Kitarō story first published in 1962 as a chapter of the original rental manga. It was the first story Shigeru Mizuki wrote after returning to Togetsu-Shobō. He published only one more story, Johnny in the Mist, before Togetsu went bankrupt and he moved to Satō Pro. The story was used as the finale to the Garo version and was later adapted for the Hakaba Kitarō anime.
