In the manga, Ungaikyō is giant floating head, with a cloud of mist surrounding it. It has large round eyes, a squashed nose, and thick lips.

In the 1996 anime, Ungaikō has orange skin, eyes with yellow sclerae and red irises, peach lips, and a yellow tongue. Rather than mist, messy lavender hair floats around him. He has a small pair of arms and holds a small red mirror.

Legend[]
Ungaikyō is a mirror tsukumogami that appears in the Gazu Hyakki Tsurezure Bukuro. The Ungaikyō can manipulate its reflection into whatever it desires.
The Ungaikyō may be based on the Shōmakyō, a mirror used to reveal the true nature of monsters, such a mirror was used by King Zhou of Shang to reveal that his wife Daji was a malevolent fox spirit.
