You know I'm torn about whether to love the 60s or 90s version of "Tōge no yōkai" (the Buruburu story). Buruburu cunningly made a move in episode #90 of the 1990s version by concealing herself within Nezumi-Otoko’s stomach during the escape of his prisoners, including Kitaro and Nezumi-Otoko. Tsurubebi, also known as oni-bi or demon fire, expelled Buruburu, who was struggling within and escaping up Nezumi-Otoko's esophagus. She hates light, including firelight.
Nezumi's agony causes me great concern, making me feel as if I am a character within the narrative. Though I still love the 60s version, I've already written it down on my "favorite episodes" list. I believe in "so it is written, so it shall be."
