The Vampire Elephant (吸血象, Kyūketsu-Zō lit. Blood Sucking Elephant) is either an elephant yōkai or a type of magical being created by Kōmori-Neko. It is unclear whether or not the actual vampire elephant(s) do exist, but Medama-Oyaji knew and identified it.
Appearance[]
Vampire elephant greatly resembles normal African elephant in general, but has red eyes and fangs instead of teeth within its mouth.
Personality[]
Vampire elephant was bloodthirsty. It attacked and kept pursuing Kitarō and others.
History[]
Manga and 1985 Anime[]
Kōmori-Neko created the elephant with his magic to counter Kitarō and others. It largely troubled the Japanese yōkai, but was vanished by Kitarō's reverse magic.
Powers and Abilities[]
Enhanced Strength: The Vampire elephant is a powerful yōkai with its strength being commensurate with its size.
Bloodsucking: With its trunk, vampire elephant sucks large amounts of bloods or body fluids of yōkai including Nurikabe and Ittan-Momen, and instantly makes the targets incapacitated.

The Vampire Elephant may be inspired by Chaugnar Faugn, a vampiric elephant-like humanoid horror from the Lovecraft Mythos.
