- The plot is reminiscent of the 1965 film Dr. Terror's House of Horrors's story of the same name, involving a jazz musician who unfortunately steals a tune from a local voodoo ceremony and faces dire consequences. The story itself may have been based from the short story "Papa Benjamin" by Cornell Woolrich.
