Werewolves (人狼 Jinrō or Hito-Ōkami, 狼男 Ōkami-Otoko, lit. Werewolf) are a race of Yōkai associated with wolves.
Description[]
In their human forms, werewolves look indistinguible from humans. In their werewolf forms, werewolves resemble humanoid wolf-like beings.
Behavior[]
In the works of Shigeru Mizuki, like GeGeGe no Kitarō, Akuma-kun, and Fushigi-kun, werewolf characters act like their vicious counterparts from folklore. They often appear alongside other Western Yōkai, often vampires like Dracula, and are often said to be vampires themselves.
In anime featuring them, they often have very brash and violent personalities when in their wolf form.
History[]
Powers and Abilities[]
Werewolf Form: While most werewolves are only ever shown in their werewolf form, some are shown to transform between human and werewolf form at will.
