Legends[]
The Seven Wonders of Honjo are a collection of legends of Honjo, now modern-day Sumida ward in Tokyo. Although numbered as seven, the title is purely nominal to make it scary, there are more actually more than seven legends. Today they are largely remembered as tourist attractions. The wonders consist of Oitekebori, Okuri-Chōchin, Okuri-Hyōshigi, Akarinashi Soba, Ashiarai-Yashiki, Kataba no Ashi, Ochiba Naki Shii, Tanuki-Bayashi, and Tsugaru no Taiko.
