Yadōkai appears in episode #52 of the fifth anime adaptation, Terror! Yadōkai.
He makes another appearance in episode #79,Tenacity of Mystical Snake! Tsuchinoko!!. In this episode, he is chosen as the 8th of the chosen 47 Yōkai Warriors of Japan and the representative of Saitama. His mark is located on his chin.

Yadōkai is a derogatory term for Kōya Hijiri, Japanese monks from Mount Kōya who traveled around the country to preach Buddhism. Yadōkai refers to former monks who turned to mischief. They are considered to be a kind of yokai doing various mischievous acts such as wandering at night, damaging property, injuring people, or even kidnapping children.
