Zu (ズー or ズウ Zū) is a black-akuma who appears in Akuma-kun.
Appearance[]
Zu is a gigantic beast with black fur, purple skin, and has porcine traits, such as having a pig snout and two-toed claws on each limb. He has three horns pointing up, red eyes, pointy ears, and a mouth full of yellow fangs with two tusks jutting out from the sides.
In the 1989 Akuma-kun anime, Zu largely remains the same, but has pale, yellow-green fur, peach skin, pink eyes, and white fangs and tusks.

Zu gained his power by sucking the spiritual atmosphere of the Himalayan Mountains. He controlled Shingo Umoregi's mind with his shadow body, and transformed other children into pigs. His body gave the Twelve Apostles a tough fight; however, when his shadow was attacked, his body collapsed and turned into mud.
Anime[]
Zu pursued and tortured children who were sent to the Dream Demon Realm Jigoku (夢魔界地獄, Yume-Makai-Jigoku) by Amduscias. It also attacked Shingo Umoregi by the order of Mora, but the boy overcame his fear and the demon couldn't stand against him and disappeared.
Powers and Abilities[]
Shadow Body: Zu can split his body and shadow, allowing the two to act separately. When separated, his consciousness stays within his shadow, while his body suffers no pain, even when a hole is made by Mephsito II. However, if the shadow is attacked, then the body feels the pain as well.
Human Possession: Zu's shadow body can possess and control the minds of humans.
Pig Transmutation: Zu can transform people into pigs by breathing out of his nose.
